Laser laboratory extension stage 1 completed | First applications tested

Four work stations with different robots and a linear axis have been brought into operation, all with access to the TruDisk 5001 laser. These new products have been presented as part of our Scansonic Application Days. They will be used and tested in selected processes such as laser and arc welding, soldering, and hardening.

We plan to make the stations more versatile to shorten the set-up times during the next extension stage. PROFINET with Siemens S7 and Distributed Safety means that lasers and robots can be more quickly connected to or disconnected from the safety circuits. The fibre-optic cable distribution which we implemented is now well-established and will be developed further.
